Colorado Road Trip

After being on the road for almost a year, I decided to give the camper a break, park it in Washington, rent a car for a Colorado road trip to visit friends. See the photo gallery below, on my return I hit the Tetons and had some fun in Idaho!

I have to admit it was a little surreal to be back in Colorado, a place I spent 17 years living. It was nice….the mountain and of course my friends put a big smile on my face, reminding me why it was difficult to leave.

So with that I want to thank EVERYONE who took the time and chat with me at work events, go out and have a beer with me and take me in and let me invade their space for a night or two….it really meant a lot!!

The best part of the trip were the times with friends and being able to hear about their lives in person and hear what everyone is up to….I truly miss that…and probably means more than people realize.

Approaching a year on the road I do start to reflect on the last year, It’s been a wonderful experience and I feel I have really grown as a person….I’ve met wonderful people and been to amazing places. And after reconnecting with the wonderful CO community it seems we all are just looking for balance. I decided to upend my life but I too am looking for that balance, but from a different perspective I guess.

I can say I have a continued passion to travel, explore and experience new things, make new friendships and be my independent self but the friendships I’ve made over the years still pulls me back.

I think its best to make that a happy thing….knowing there is always a place I can call home and return to….
