Tumalo Falls

One of the main reasons I wanted to send some time in beautiful Bend was for the outdoors!! Mountains and forest surround the city with the Deschutes River running right through town.

One of the first hikes I’ve done is Tumalo Falls, If you love waterfalls and not much of a hiker Tumalo Falls is perfect! About 30 minutes outside Bend it’s a 94 ft. falls in the Deschutes National Forest. It’s easy to get there from Bend, the last 2.5 miles can get bumpy so plan accordingly.

It really has everything, the falls is right off the parking lot but there are tons of hiking trails to enjoy. I took the hike right from the falls and hiked to 2 more waterfalls in a 3 mile one way (6 total miles).

The trail follows the river through the trees with not much elevation gain at all….And the snow on the ground just enhanced the experience.

Per usual I much rather share my photos than write too much…enjoy!
